Tamar View has formed two football clubs - Tamar View FC for adults and Barne Barton Junior Rangers which provides opportunities for footballers aged 5-10-years-old.
The club prides itself on welcoming any player interested in taking part, regardless of gender or ethnicity. It currently only caters for able bodied footballers.
Tamar View Football Club
Formed in 2014, this adult team plays in the Plymouth and West Devon Combination League Division Three on Sunday mornings. The team has a squad of 17 players, with over 75% from the local community.
It was formed by one of our Community Ambassadors who wished to provide competitive football for over 18s in Barne Barton. Since his idea was discussed, everything was put in place for the club to form and they started their league season in August 2014.
The team's home games are played at Devonport High School for Boys, Plymouth due to a lack of facilities in Barne Barton.

Barne Barton Junior Rangers
Working with players aged 5 up to 10, the junior section currently has teams registered in the Devon Junior Minor League at under 8 and under 10 age groups.
We have approximately 50 players registered to us with new players joining frequently. The club trains, in the summer time, on Tuesday evenings at Estuary Way in Barne Barton from 4pm-5pm. In the winter, both age groups will train at Bull Point Astro pitch on Tuesdays - time to be confirmed.

Volunteering opportunities
The club currently has 7 volunteers working in the various roles to make the club a success. All are already, or are in the process, of being DBS checked to ensure that we work to the correct safeguarding and welfare standards set out by the FA.
All coaches are trained to Level 1 standard with others progressing through to higher level qualifications such at the FA Youth Award or Level 2.
The club aims to put all our volunteers through the correct and necessary training within 6 months of joining the team.
